Turn the main fuel selector switch to “GAS” position.
NOTICE
When the main fuel selector switch is turned to the GAS position, the indicator light will
turn RED for up to 4 minutes (before going off). Starting the engine successfully anytime during
the 4 minutes will turn the indicator light GREEN. See Indicator light-Battery Power Saving
Mode section for more information.

Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator. Never start or stop the generator with
electrical devices plugged in.

Move choke lever located on engine to “START” position. You do not need to choke a warm engine.
(For electric start move to step (8))
7.
For recoil start only - Pull the starter cord slowly until resistance is felt and then pull rapidly to
start engine.
8.
For electric start only - Flip the engine switch to the START (ll) position for a few seconds and
then release.
