Weighing Your
Loaded
Motor
Home
(Tag-Axle Models)
The following weighing procedure
will
help
you
determine
whether
your
loaded
motor
home
(com-
plete
with
cargo, fluids, passengers, and
driver)
is
within
GAWR and GVWR limits.
When
you
arrive
at
the
weigh station,
the
attendant
will
guide
you
through
the
correct positioning
of
the
motor
home
on
the
scales. Generally,
the
sequence
is
as
follows:
1.
Drive the entire vehicle (all axles)
onto
the
scale
and take a reading. This is
the
Gross Vehrcle
Weight. (Reading
1.)
2.
Drive the vehicle forward
until
the
front
wheels
just clear the scale pad. This is
the
load
on
the
drive
and
tag axles (Reading
21.
