• Verify the correct installation of the clove hitch knot onto the carabiner of the anchor leash again
before you allow the ground stake and the anchor leash to take over the load of the fl ying line
produced by your kite.
• When you are ready to bring your kite back down, take the landing handle and clip the
carabiner onto the fl ying line.
Camera Kite Deployment
• Start to walk towards your kite (downwind) whilst holding the landing handle to bring your kite
down until you can reach and securely take hold of the bridle line with your gloved hand and
then when the nose of your kite is within reach, take hold of that, again with your gloved hand in
order to fi nalise the secure retrieval of your kite.
• If the wind conditions and terrain allow for a safe launch and landing of your kite then you can
use the stabiliser and camera or smartphone on your kite.
• Install the stabiliser and camera or smartphone onto your kite as you have done before and as
described in the previous section of this manual.
• Use the landing handle as you clip the carabiner onto the fl ying line to retain the line as you let
your kite gain its altitude whilst you walk back to the ground stake and anchor leash.
