DOSE RATE MODE
In Dose Rate Mode, the instrument is measuring the 
gamma dose rate and will automatically alert the 
operator when there is a significant change in ambient 
dose rate level or when an alarm threshold is breached.
Press & hold

In Finder Mode, the instrument can be used to localize 
the source of an elevated dose level. If Finder Mode is 
not needed, skip to Identification Mode by pressing:
Press to 
enter Finder Mode.
Wait while background baseline is established 
(10 seconds). The R200 will then automatically 
enter Finder Mode. Bars indicate increased or 
decreased activity levels during search.
Once source is 
located, press   
to identify source.

You are now actively operating the unit as a Personal Radiation Detector.

After alarm, proceed to Finder 
Mode or Identification Mode.
Once source is 
detected or located, 
press   to enter 
Identification Mode.
Proceed to Identification Mode.
The Magic Eye and on-screen prompts will guide you to maintain 
optimum distance from source. Screen shows % complete or time 
remaining for data collection. Instrument automatically analyzes 
data when collection is complete. 
In this mode, the R200 collects 
data & analyzes it to determine the 
identification of the source nuclide(s).
