      If your Flotec Water Pump isn't delivering water to its full capacity, here are some possible reasons: * The water being pumped might be lower than estimated. If your well's depth to water is more than 25 feet, a deep well jet will be needed. * The pipes or hoses might be corroded, so replace them with plastic or new steel pipe. * The piping might be too small in size, so re-pipe using pipe the same size as the suction and discharge ports on the pump. * The pump might not be getting enough water, indicating the inlet pipe is too small.

      If your Flotec Water Pump motor runs but no water comes out, there are several potential causes: * The pump may not have picked up prime during the new installation. In this case, re-prime according to instructions, check all connections on the suction line with soapy water or shaving cream, replace the foot valve, or re-pipe using pipe the same size as of suction and discharge ports on pump. * The pump may have lost prime. Check all connections on the suction line and shaft seal with soapy water, or lower the suction line into water and re-prime. * The impeller could be plugged, so clean the impeller. * The foot valve might be stuck shut, requiring replacement. * The pipes could be frozen, so thaw them. * The foot valve and/or strainer could be buried in sand or mud.
