NEXT (Near End Crosstalk) :
Near End Crosstalk (NEXT) : Difference (in dB) between test signal and crosstalk
signal measured on the same side. The more important the Next is, the best the
cable is :
When this parameter is not compliant, you shall check :
- Respect of twist (especially in the connectors)
- Cables and adapters used to perform the measurement
- Mismatching between pairs
- the cable is not crushed
- the measurement was performed in a not disturbed environnement
Rule of 4dB : Parameter not evaluated by the tool if IL < 4dB at the same
frequency
