The Micron M operates with 2 x 1.5v LR1 Alkaline batteries.
To fit/replace the batteries, turn off prior to replacing, open the
case by sliding the battery cover off at the rear of the bite alarm.
Take care removing the
batteries, ensure correct
polarity and connection
prior to turning back on,
re-fit cover. The use of
good quality Alkaline
batteries is recommended
to ensure maximum
battery life.
DRYING OUT AFTER USE IN HEAVY RAIN
The Micron M has been designed to be weatherproof. However,
after use in heavy rain, it is important to allow the unit and most
especially the batteries, to dry out properly by removing the
batteries and leaving the unit in a warm, dry place overnight,
with the battery compartment left open.
N.B. NEVER place batteries in a hot environment (e.g. on a
radiator or heater).
