The EX715 has been certified for use in some hazardous areas. This section details
the scope of this certification with explanatory notes.
Mark of Protecon: II 2 G Ex ia IIB T4/T5
II ………… Industrial equipment.
Electrical apparatus for places with an explosive gas
atmosphere other than mines suscepble to redamp.
2 …… Equipment category: high protecon. Suitable Zone I and II.
G …… Equipment used in potenally explosive atmospheres
caused by presence of explosive gas, vapour and mist.
Ex …… Explosion protecon.
ia …… Intrinsically safe.
IIB …… Representave gas group.
T4 / T5 …… Temperature class.
When Duracell Procell or Duracell Coppertop MN1604
is used the equipment is rated T4 with an ambient
temperature -20 ≤ Ta +59ºC.
When Panasonic 6F22R is used the equipment is rated
T5 with an ambient temperature -20 ≤ Ta ≤ +40ºC.
