Overview

This document outlines the assembly, operation, and maintenance of the CAN AM MAVERICK UTV, a child's ride-on toy. It is designed for children aged 37-95 months and requires adult assembly and supervision.

Function Description

The CAN AM MAVERICK UTV is a battery-powered ride-on toy designed to provide children with an engaging driving experience. It features a dashboard with various controls, including a horn, music button, MP3 player, and switches for forward/stop/backward movement, remote/manual operation, and lights. The toy can be operated manually by the child using a pedal or remotely by an adult using a 2.4G remote control. The remote control allows adults to steer, control speed, and apply brakes, ensuring safety and supervision. The vehicle is equipped with a music board that includes a socket, display, and audio input, allowing for entertainment during play. It offers functions such as story playback, music playback, and volume control.

Usage Features

Assembly: The assembly process involves several steps, starting with installing the front supportive carriages, followed by the front axle for direction. Depending on the motor version (two or four motors), specific instructions are provided for installing the front wheels, including the correct sequence of gaskets, locking screws, and wheel covers. The front bumper is then attached, followed by the fix part of the back supportive carriage. The rear wheels are installed by inserting the back axle into the motors and car body, with specific notes for different motor versions regarding M12 gaskets. The decoration part of the rear bumper is then fixed. Power connection involves plugging all spare plug-in modules into the IC box. The rear container is installed, and the seats are assembled and locked into place. Finally, the dashboard, plastic trim, steering wheel, front window shield frame, and rear bar are installed to complete the vehicle.

Operation: The UTV can be operated in two modes: Manual (Pedal) and Remote (R/C). In Manual mode, the child drives the car using the pedal. In Remote mode, an adult controls the car using the remote control. The remote control features buttons for forward, backward, left, right, speed adjustment (low, medium, high), and brake. The remote control requires two AAA batteries and needs to be paired with the vehicle by holding specific keys for 3 seconds. The dashboard includes a "Button Start" for powering on the vehicle and switches for various functions like lights and driving modes. The music board allows children to listen to stories and music, with controls for changing tracks and adjusting volume.

Safety Guidelines: Adult supervision is required at all times while the child is driving. Children must always wear a helmet. The vehicle should not be driven on roads, footpaths, wet surfaces, or slopes greater than 15 degrees. It is recommended for use on smooth surfaces only and should not be driven outdoors in the rain. Before changing direction (forward to reverse), ensure the vehicle has stopped completely. Children should not operate the charger or play with the battery. The vehicle has a maximum load capacity of 30KGS/66LBS. It is designed for children aged 37-95 months. The toy should be used strictly according to the safety manual. Before each use, check the tires, brakes, steering wheel, seats, and seat belts. This toy vehicle requires skill to avoid falls or collisions. It is important to note that this toy has no brake and cannot be used in sand.

Maintenance Features

Battery Charging: Before initial use, the battery must be charged for 8 to 12 hours, but no more than 20 hours. Subsequent recharges, after the battery is depleted, should also be 8 to 12 hours. It is recommended to charge the battery at least once a month to maintain its activity. The charging port is located on the vehicle. The charger plug should be inserted into the charging port, and then the charger into a wall outlet. When the battery is fully charged, the charger should be unplugged from the wall and disconnected from the charging port. The charger may feel warm during charging, but if it becomes excessively hot, it should be unplugged and replaced. During charging, all vehicle functions are turned off due to charging protection.

Troubleshooting:

  • Vehicle not driven: This usually indicates insufficient battery. Charge for 8-12 hours (max 20 hours) and at least once a month.
  • Car does not move: Similar to the above, low battery is the common cause.
  • Car runs for a short time: This could be due to a low battery (requiring charging) or an old battery that needs replacement.
  • Sound does not work: Ensure the volume is turned up and the MP3 line is not connected. Sounds from the steering wheel will not work if the MP3 is plugged in.
  • Charger overheating: A slightly warm charger is normal. Excessive heat may indicate a current overload or battery short circuit.

General Maintenance:

  • Clean the vehicle with a dry cloth only.
  • Do not change the circuit or add other electric parts.
  • Adults must teach children safe driving procedures.
  • Turn off the power when not in use.
  • Check the seat to ensure it is fitted and secured with a bolt before driving.
  • Inspect all wires and connections periodically.
  • Charging the battery should only be done by adults.
  • The toy should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. If damage occurs, the toy should not be used until repaired.
  • Only use the battery and charger specified by the manufacturer.
  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
  • Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity.
  • Exhausted batteries must be removed from the toy.
  • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
  • The packaging must be retained as it contains important information.
  • The remote control is for adult use only and should not be used by a child. Close adult supervision is always required when using the remote control.
  • The car contains a non-replaceable battery.
  • For recharging, only use the detachable supply unit provided.
  • Do not bypass the circuit. Replace only with JR1922RXS DO 12V Max35.
