Cleaning after driving off-road or on
construction sites
!
Only direct thecompressed-air, steam or
waterjet towards theradiator surface in a
vertical direction.Ensure that theradiator
finsare notdamaged. Remove any dirt from
theradiator fins. Damaged or dirtyradiator
finscan causethe enginetooverheat. If
there is aloss of coolant or damagetothe
coolingand heating system, have it checked
at aqualified specialist workshop.
Foreign bodiesthathave become trapped can
be expelled duringthe journey, e.g.stonesin
thetiretread or between thetires (twin tires).
This couldcauseother road userstobe
injured or vehicles—especiallythe wind-
shields —tobedamaged.
Dirtand mud on thetires and on theroad sur-
facereduceroad grip,particularly if theroad
surface is wet.This couldcauseyour vehicle
to start to skid. Always clean your vehicle
carefullyafter every journey off-road or on a
constructionsiteand before journeys on pub-
lic roads.
Checkthe tires for foreign bodiesthathave
become trapped after every journey off-road or
on aconstructionsiteand before journeys on
public roads. Remove any trapped foreign bod-
ies.
