Environmental note
Only clean your vehicle at specially designed
wash bays. Disposeofemptycontainersand
used cleaningproductsinanenvironmen-
tally responsible manner.
Regular care helps to maintain the value of the
vehicle.
Daimler TrucksNorthAmerica recommends
that you only use care productsthat have
been approved for Freightliner Trucks. You can
obtain thesecare productsfrom any Freight-
liner Service Center.
If you need to wash upper parts of the vehicle,
always use asuitable ladder or another non-
slip climbingaid.
Cleaning the interior

When using liquids to clean the vehicle
interior, observethe following points:

Under no circumstances use power wash-
ers.
R
Make sure that no fluids enter or remain
in gaps and cavities.
R
Ensure sufficient ventilation when clean-
ing.
R
Make sure that the vehicle interior is com-
pletely dry after cleaning.
Cleaning the seat covers

Do not use microfiber cloths to clean gen-
uine leather or artificial leather covers. If
used often, amicrofiber clothcan damage
the cover.

Clean:
R
artificial leather coverswith aclothmois-
tened with asolution containing1%
detergent,e.g. dish washing liquid.
R
clothcoverswith amicrofiber clothmois-
tened with asolution containing1%
detergent,e.g. dish washing liquid. Wipe
entire seat sections carefully to avoid
leaving visible lines. Leave the seat to dry
afterwards. Cleaning results depend on
the type of dirt and how long it has been
there.
R
genuineleather coverscarefully with a
damp cloth, then wipe the coversdown
with adry cloth. Make sure that the
leather does not becomesoaked. Other-
wise, the leather could becomerough or
cracked. Only use leather care agents
that have been tested and approved by
Mercedes-Benz.You can obtain these
from aqualified specialist workshop.
Please notethat:
R
leather coversare anatural product and are
therefore subjecttoanatural aging process.
Leather can responddifferently to certain
environmental influences (e.g. high humidity
or severe heat), for example more strongly
defined folds can develop.
R
regular care is required if the look of the
leather coversand their touchand feel are
to be preserved in the long term.
Cleaning the seat belts

Observethe following notes on cleaning
the seat belts:
R
removeany stainsordirt immediately.
This will avoid residue or damage.
R
do not bleach or dye the seat belts. This
could impair the function of the seat
belts.
R
do not dry the seat belts in direct sunlight
or at temperaturesabove 176 ‡(80 †).
Clean the seat belts with amild washing solu-
tion.
