Power take-offs
Function and notes
The engineand power take-offs must be oper-
ated at acertain enginespeed (working
speed), dependingonthe conditionsofuse.
The workingspeed can be changed:

via the on-board computer in the driving
systemsmenu, Engine speedEngine speed window
(Y page 155)
R
using the F constantenginespeed
switch(Ypage 155)
Engine speed setting
Buttons on the multifunction steering wheel
You can set the idling speed and the working
speed. The maximum enginespeed is depend-
ent on the connectionstothe power take-off.
Activating the engine speed setting and
setting the engine speed
X
Press the Ù button on the multifunction
steering wheel repeatedly until the EngineEngine
speedspeed input window is shown in the on-
board computer.
X
Press the s or r button to increase
or decrease the enginespeed in increments
of approximately 20 rpm.
X
Press the 9 button to exit the input win-
dow.

X
Wait for approximately 3seconds.
The setting is stored automatically.
Deactivating the engine-speed setting
X
Press the Ù button repeatedly until the on-
board computer shows the Engine speedEngine speed
input window.
X
Press the u button.
The enginespeed setting is automatically
reset if you drive fasterthan approximately
12 mph (20km/h).
Constant engine speed
When theconstant enginespeedfunction is
activated, theset working speedfor power
take-off is controlled by theelectronic man-
agementsystem, regardless of theload.

Stop thevehicle.
X
Apply theparking brake.
X
Shift intoneutral.
X
Engage power take-off.
X
To switch on: pressthe upper sectionof
the F switch.
The indicator lamp in the F switch lights
up.
X
To switch off: pressthe lower sectionof
the F switch.
The indicator lamp in the F switch goes
out.
