rain/light sensor ; could be restricted

Cleaning the Sideguard Assist sensors
!
If you clean the sensors with apower
washer, make sure that you keep adistance
of at least 11.8 in (30 cm) between the vehi-
cle and the powerwasher nozzle. Informa-
tion aboutthe correct distance is available
from the equipment manufacturer.

Sideguard Assist sensors
Clean the cover of sensors : regularly.Inthis
way,you willavoid malfunctions.

Clean Sideguard Assist sensors : with
water, shampooand asoft towel regularly.
Blind Spot Assist camera
Blind Spot Assist is made up of front cam-
era :,two blind spot cameras ; and the
reversing camera. You can find further infor-
mation on the installation positionofthe rear
view camera at the rear of the vehicle in the
body manufacturer's operating instructions.
Use clear water and asoft cloth to clean the
camera lenses. Be careful not to applywax to
the camera lenses when you wax the vehicle.
If necessary,remove the wax with water, car
shampooand asoft cloth.
High-pressure cleaning

WARNING
The water jet from acircularjet nozzle (dirt
blasters) can cause invisible exterior dam-
age to the tires or chassis components.
Components damaged in this way may fail
unexpectedly.There is arisk of an accident.
Do not use powerwashers with circularjet
nozzles to clean the vehicle.Have damaged
tires or chassis components replaced imme-
diately.

Under no circumstances use powerwash-
ers in the vehicle interior. The pressurized
water and associated spray produced by the
powerwasher could cause extensive dam-
age to the vehicle.

Environmental note
Only clean yourvehicle at specially designed
wash bays. Dispose of empty containers and
used cleaning products in an environmen-
tally responsible manner.

The emissions control system may only be
cleaned when it is cool. The sensors could
otherwise be damaged.
When cleaning, make sure not to point the
water jet at the exhaust pipe.Otherwise,the
exhaust gas aftertreatment may be dam-
aged.

When using high-pressure cleaning equip-
ment, maintain aminimum distance of
approx. 1ft(30 cm) betweenthe spray noz-
zle and the vehicle parts. Do not use a
powerwasher with around-jet nozzle. You
could damage the vehicle or engine parts.

Keep the water jet moving constantly
whilecleaning. In this way,you willavoid
causing damage.
