its authorized Freightliner dealers to carry out
technical inspections on certain vehicles. This
is alwaysthe case if it is possible to improve
quality or safety levels. Daimler Trucks North
America (DTNA) can only inform you about
vehiclechecks if Daimler Trucks North Amer-
ica (DTNA) has yourregistration data.
Yourregistration data are not available if:

yourvehiclewas not purchased at an
authorized Freightliner Dealer
R
yourvehiclehas not yet been inspected at
an authorized Freightliner Dealer
It is advisable to register yourvehiclewith an
authorized Freightliner Dealer. Inform your
authorized Freightliner Dealerassoon as pos-
sibleabout any change in address or vehicle
ownership.

be affected by conversions or modifications
to the vehicle. They might not function prop-
erly anymore and/or jeopardize the opera-
tional safety of the vehicle. There is an
increased risk of an accident and injury.
Conversions or modifications should always
be carriedout at qualified specialist work-
shop.
If you are planning on making changes to your
vehicle, Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA)
highly recommends that you contact an
authorized Freightliner dealer, body builderor
Truck Equipment Manufacturer (TEM). Here
you willobtainall necessary information (there
may be acharge).
Body manufacturers and dealers who make
any modifications which may affect the final
certification of the engine, vehicleorequip-
ment assume the sole responsibility for the
vehicle. This alsoincludes labeling and docu-
mentation affected by their modifications.
It is their responsibility to certify that:

ble standards and regulations affected by
the vehiclealteration
R
the altered vehiclecontinues to comply with
the motor vehiclesafety standards and
emissions regulations

the changes or installation of accessories do
