WARNING
If the childrestraint system is installed
incorrectlyonasuitableseat, it cannot pro-
tect as intended. The childcannot then be
restrained in the event of an accident, heavy
braking or suddenchanges of direction.
There is an increasedriskofinjury, possibly
evenfatal.
Make sure that youobserve the child
restraint system manufacturer'sinstallation
instructions and the notes on use. Please
ensure, that the base of the childrestraint
system is always resting completely on the
seatcushion. Neverplace objects, e.g. cush-
ions,under or behind the childrestraint sys-
tem. Only usechildrestraint systems with
the originalcover designedfor them. Only
replace damaged coverswithgenuine cov-
ers.

loose in the event of an accident, heavy
braking or asuddenchange in direction. The
childrestraint system could be thrown
about, striking vehicle occupants. There is
an increasedriskofinjury, possibly even
fatal.
Alwaysinstall childrestraint systems prop-
erly, evenifthey are not being used. Make
sure that youobserve the childrestraint sys-
tem manufacturer'sinstallation instructions.

stowing objects, luggage and loads under
"Stowagespaces and compartments"
(Y page 55).

tems which have beendamaged or subjec-
ted to aloadinanaccident can no longer
protect as intended. The childcannot then
be restrained in the event of an accident,

Replace childrestraint systems which have
beendamaged or subjectedtoaloadinan
accident as soonaspossible.Have the
securing systems on the childrestraint sys-
tem checkedataqualified specialist work-
shop, before youinstall achildrestraint sys-
tem again.

Observe the warning labelsonthe child
restraint system.
If achildistraveling in the vehicle,always
observe the safety notes on "Childreninthe
vehicle"(Ypage 37).
The seatbeltisthe securing system for child
restraint systems.
If yousecure achildinaforward-facing child
restraint system on the front-passenger seat,
always move the front-passenger seatasfar
back as possible.The base of the child
restraint system mustrest completely on the
front-passenger seatcushion. The backrest of
aforward-facing childrestraint system must
sit as flataspossible against the seatbackrest
