8. Install the grounding wire
a. Install screw end of the ground wire into the inside of sleeve
according to the preperation instruction.
b. Remove the second screw from the left side of unit and remove
the plastic washer.
c. Screw the other end of the ground wire into the unit; make sure
the toothed washer is against the cabinet.
9. Install the TTW unit into the wall sleeve
a. Gently slide the TTW unit into the wall-sleeve.
b. If the shell does not have the 3/8” tilt required, apply shims
below the chassis front and inside the sleeve to ensure a 3/8”
downward slope front to back.
Optional Installation Method A: Uni-Fit Dual Intake Grille with
Friedrich USC Sleeve
1-5. NOTE: Please follow Steps 1 through 5 of the Recommended
installation method before proceeding.
6. Gasket the Dual Intake Grille
a. Gasket the perimeter of the dual intake grille using the remaining
¼” thick seal sponges

7. Install the dual intake grille to the back of the TTW unit.
a. Using the pre-drilled hole locations, use the 4 provided fasten-
ers to secure the grille to the back of the TTW unit
b. If markings are present on the grille, use them as guides to
assist in the proper installation of the grille.
c. Put the [OUTSIDE] lettering toward the back side of the sleeve;
The [UP] markings should be pointed to the top of the sleeve.
d. Ensure that from the back side of the TTW unit, the seven inlet
opening should be on the left side while the eight inlet opening
should be on the right side.

8-9. Follow steps 8-9 of the recommended installation option to
finish the unit installation.
CAUTION
INSTALLATION KIT INCLUDES REAR GRILLE
FOR PROPER FUNCTION.
YOU “MUST” REMOVE EXISTING REAR GRILLE
FROM WALL SLEEVE AND USE REAR GRILLE
PROVIDED IN KIT.
