To set the timer
NOTE: Set the HOUR CLOCK (Set Hour) before attempting to set
timer functions.
You can set the Start Time and Stop Time a minimum of one hour
apart, and a maximum of 23 hours apart.

After setting the time, press the Set Hour button once (Start
light on). Use the

After selecting the Start Time, press the Set Hour button once.
(Stop Light on). Use the

buttons to select the time
that the unit will STOP. After selecting the stopping time, press
the Set Hour button once.

Press the Timer On/Off button (light turns on) to activate the
timer function. To deactivate this function, press the Timer On/
Off button once again (light turns off). Once the on and off times
have been selected, they will remain in memory and cycle daily
until changed.
NOTE: If the unit is unplugged or the power is interrupted, the HOUR
must be reset or the Timer On/Off will not function when desired.
To Activate Money Saver (WY/WE models)

Press the Money Saver button to activate the Money Saver
feature. The light will indicate the Money Saver is in use.

is a feature that cycles the fan with the com pres
sor so that the fan does not run all the time. This saves energy

will also run to test
the temperature if the off cycle is too long. Or you may prefer

CHECKING ROOM TEMPERATURE
1. Check the room temperature at the electronic control
pad by pressing at the same time, the Fan Speed
button and the Temp/Hour button (see gures 1
and 2).
2. The indoor temperature will display for 10 seconds.
Indoor temperature can be viewed in all modes, including
the Test Mode. The display can be changed back to
the SET temperature by pressing any key (except the
Power (on/off button) or it can do so automatically after
10 seconds have elapsed.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
Cool Only Units
Cool Mode with Money Saver OFF
Fan runs constantly.
If Indoor temp is 1.5 F above set point, compressor turns
ON.
If 1.5 F below set point, compressor turns OFF.
Cool Mode with Money Saver ON
Fan cycles with the compressor ON/OFF operation.
If Indoor temp .75 F above set point, compressor turns ON.
If .75 F below the set point, compressor turns OFF.
Cool with Electric Heat and
Heat Pump with Electric Heat Units
Cool Mode with Money Saver OFF
Fan runs continuously.
If ambient is 1.8 F above the set point, the compressor
turns ON.
If ambient is 1.8 below the set-point, the compressor
turns OFF.
Cool Mode with Money Saver ON
Fan cycles ON/OFF with the compressor operation
If ambient is 0.9 F above the set point, the compressor
turns ON.
If ambient is 0.9 below the set-point, the compressor
turns OFF.
Fan Operation on Cool Mode
Money saver ON (Fan cycles ON/OFF with cool
operation)
The fan will turn ON 5 seconds prior to the compressor.
It will turn off 5 Seconds after the compressor turns OFF.
Electric Heat & Heat Pump Mode
Money Saver OFF (Fan runs continuously)
If ambient is 1.8 F below the set point, the Electric Heat
turns ON.
If ambient is 1.8 above the set-point, the Electric Heat
turns OFF.
Electric Heat & Heat Pump Mode
Money Saver ON (Fan cycles ON/OFF with heat
operation)
If ambient is 0.9F above the set point, the Electric Heat
turns ON.
If ambient is 0.9 below the set-point, the Electric Heat
turns OFF.

Fan Operation on Electric Heat & Heat Pump Mode
Money saver ON (Fan cycles ON/OFF with heat
operation)
Fan will turn ON 5 seconds prior to the Heat source.
Fan will turn off 20 Seconds after the Heat source turns
OFF.
Smart Fan (all units)
Automatically adjusts Fan Speed to maintain desired
room temperature. Uses temperature differential between
the room ambient and set point to select speed.
Indoor Coil Freeze Protection (all units)
If the indoor coil thermistor senses 30 F for 2 consecutive
minutes, the compressor turns OFF but the fan keeps
running.
Enable compressor at 55 F indoor coil temperature.
Automatic Temperature Sensing Feature (all units)
When the Money Saver is ON, if the T-stat remains
satisfi ed for more then 9 minutes the fan will run on MED
speed for 90 seconds to sample the air to maintain a
more uniform temperature.
Compressor Lockout (Time Delay) (all units)
180 seconds
