6. On the “General” tab, enable the options “Obtain an IP
address automatically” and “Obtain DNS server address
automatically”.
7. Click “OK” to save the settings.
8. Enable the options “Obtain an IP address automatically”
and “Obtain DNS server address automatically” for the
Internet protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) as well.
The computer receives an IP address from the wireless access
point.
Obtaining an IP Address Automatically in Mac OS X
1. Select the “System Preferences” in the Apple menu.
2. In the “System Preferences” window, click the “Net-
work” icon.
3. In the “Network” window, select the “Ethernet” entry
from the list.
4. Click the “Advanced...” button. The “TCP/IP” settings
page opens. Select the “Using DHCP” option from the
“Configure IPv4:” drop-down list.
5. Click “OK”.
