2 Before You Connect the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater
Read this chapter before connecting the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater to the
power supply and the wireless access point.
2.1 Requirements for Operationrequirements
In order to operate the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater 1750E, you must
have the following:
• The wireless access point must support the
IEEE 802.11ac, 802.11n, 802.11g, 802.11b or 802.11a
standard
• The wireless access point must support automatic IP ad-
dress assignment (DHCP)
• The wireless access point must support forwarding of IP-
based protocols/Address Resolution Protocol
• For wireless LAN configuration: The SSID (radio network
name) of the wireless access point must be set to “visi-
ble”. For a FRITZ!Box this is the case upon delivery.
• For wireless LAN configuration: The MAC address filter of
the wireless access point must be disabled. For a
FRITZ!Box this is the case upon delivery. If the MAC ad-
dress filter of the wireless access point is enabled, the
MAC address of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater must be en-
tered as an exception.
• For wireless LAN configuration with WPS: a WPS-compli-
ant wireless access point with up-to-date firmware
• For the wireless LAN configuration: Wireless LAN client
that supports the WPA or WPA2 encryption standard
