Then lower the mower to the desired height and mow
the vegetation a second time. If possible, select a
mowing pattern that is at a 90 degree angle to the first
pass to reduce streaking and provide a more even cut.
Large, dense, or wet vegetation may need to be mowed
in two or more passes to achieve a uniform cut. In
such conditions, raise the cutting height to 12” or more
on the first pass.
When you get to the end of a pass, slightly raise the
mower (2-4”) before turning. Never raise the mower
entirely while the blades are turning. If the mower must
be raised higher than 12” from ground level, disengage
the tractor PTO and wait for all mower rotation to come
to a complete stop before proceeding to raise the mower.
