MAINTENANCE
Have a qualified technician:
MONTHLY
• Drain a gallon
of
water to remove silt and sediment.
QUARTERLY
• Inspect the cleanout tank. Clean as necessary.
SEMI-ANNUALLY
• Visually check the pilot and burner flames.
ANNUALLY
• Check the ignition systems, temperature controls and any other water heater controls.
• Check all safety shut-off valves to verify proper operation and tightness
• Inspect venting system. Clean or repair as necessary.
• Remove the main burner rack to clean orifices and related parts.
• Inspect burner ports. Clean as necessary.
• Check the combination temperature and pressure relief valve. Clean as necessary.
• Inspect the anode rod. Replace when necessary.
