Power-on indicator/Standby

• The indicator flashes: The notebook is in standby mode.
• The indicator is not lit: The no
tebook is switched off.
Battery status indicator/mains connection
The state of charge of the battery is shown by th e battery indicator.
1. With mains adapter connected:
• The indica tor lights up orange: the battery is cha rging.
• The indicator does not light up: the charging process has been
completed.
•Theindicatorflashes orange: the b attery cannot be charged, it
being too hot or too cold for charging. The charging process
is continued as soon as the battery reaches a permissible
temperature again.
2. Running on battery power (without mains adapt er):
• The indicator d oes not light up: battery leve l is 100-20%.
• The indicator lights up red: battery level is 19-0%.
• The indicator slowly flashes red: battery level is 19-0% and the
system is in p ower-saving mode.
3. Battery problem/error:

Indicator is illuminated: O ne of the drives (e.g. hard disk, optical drive) is
being accessed.
Num Lock indicator

key has been pre ssed. The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicat or

The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In th e case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will appe ar when that key
is pressed.
