Recharging the Battery
Connect the AC adapter to your notebook
The moment you connect an AC adapter to
your notebook, the notebook begins to charge
the battery pack.
When the battery level indicator turns o󰀨
after the battery is completely charged,
(while the notebook is in off mode)
disconnect the AC adapter from the
notebook.

Before using the supplied battery pack for
the very rst time after purchase, remember
to charge it fully. If a charged battery has
not been recharged for more than a month,
charge it fully before using it.
When the battery is fully charged while the
notebook is in power o󰀨 mode, the Battery
Charging Indicator turns o󰀨.
When a notebook is turned o󰀨, the Battery
Level LED indicator goes o󰀨 immediately
if the battery is completely charged.
The chargeability of the battery degrades
when it is used in an extremely hot or cold
place.

This lamp indicates charging status of battery
when AC adaptor is connected to PC.
• White lamp is lit
Charging completed.
• Amber lamp is lit
Charging
• Red lamp ashes
Charging stopped
(Due to battery temperature alarm, etc.)
• OFF
No charging due to disconnect AC adapter.
When the battery is very hot, for
example, immediately after long usage
of the notebook, the battery protection
feature may be activated to prevent the
battery from being recharged. When the
temperature decreases, the notebook
automatically begins to charge the battery.
Do not power off the notebook when the
storage drive access indicator is shown.
Failure to do so corrupt data on the storage
drive as well as the installed operating
system.
Fujitsu LIFEBOOK has several battery
protection features to extend the battery
life cycle.
User can change the battery charging
mode by selecting either "Full charge
mode" or "80% charge mode" in Fujitsu
Battery Utility.
When user selects "Full charge mode"
and plugs in the AC adapter, the battery
will stop charging if the battery level is in
between 90% and 100%. If the battery
level is lower than 90%, the battery will
be charged up to 100%.
When user selects "80% charge mode"
and plugs in the AC adapter, the battery
will stop charging if the battery level is
in between 70% and 80%. If the battery
level is lower than 70%, the battery will
be charged up to 80%.
