Duty cycle
Duty cycle is the percentage of time that the welding machine can deliver continuous welding
current, in a period of 10 minutes. In the Furius FIX 201 this value is 40% when the output current is
set at the maximum and the ambient temperature is 40 ° C. This percentage increases as the set
output current decreases and / or the ambient temperature decreases.
This means that the machine can deliver its maximum output continuously for 4 minutes, and after
this period the thermal control device will be activated, and the user must let the machine rest (it
should be left turned on) at least for 6 minutes. After this period, you can resume work normally.
The duty cycle may decrease if the ambient temperature rises above 40 ° C.
Warning! Do not exceed the
duty cycles established on the
tech plate included in the
welder and in this instruction.
