1.4 Connecting external transceiver unit (ETR) to EXIF Unit
When external transceiver units (ETR) are connected together with the internal transceiver unit,
set the XDCR CONNECT menu in E/S DRAFT SETTING menu as follows;
1) To display internal "H" and "L" signals in dual display mode
Select INTERNAL for both high and low frequencies.
2)To display external "H" and "L" signals on dual display mode
Select EXTERNAL for both high and low frequencies.
3)To display internal "H" and external "L" signals on dual display mode.
Select INTERNAL for the high frequency and EXTERNAL for low frequency.
4)To display external "H" and internal "L" signals on the dual display mode
Select EXTERNAL for the high frequency and INTERNAL for low frequency.
5)To display three division screen, internal "H", internal "L", and either external "H" or
"L" on USER-1/2 mode.
Select INTERNAL for both high and low frequency, and connect external transceiver unit
(ETR) to connector CN7.
1.5 Connecting external monitor unit to EXIF Unit
Echo signals of the internal transceiver unit are always outputted from the connectors CN7 and CN8
regardless of the E/S SIG OUT setting in the E/S DRAFT SETTING menu.
The E/S SIG OUT setting determines whether the trigger (KP) from either connector CN7 or CN8
outputs or not.
1) When external monitor unit is connected to either connector CN7 or CN8,
Select HF for the E/S SIG OUT setting, if external monitor is connected to CN7.
Select LF for the E/S SIG OUT setting, if external monitor is connected to CN8.
2) When external monitor unit is connected to both connectors CN7 and CN8, select "LF/HF"
for E/S SIG OUT.
