PARA — Parameter Menus
The parameter function includes a number of submenus that are used to input basic
model data settings. This is best understood by viewing the menu structure on p. 14. These are
placed in a submenu under PARA because they are not changed very often.
There are five submenus within the PARA menu, including REST (Data Reset), DRSW
(Dual Rate Switches), ACRO/HELI (Model Type), and MOD (Modulation). To access these
menus, you press the CURSOR key to step through them in sequence. Each of these commands
is described in more detail below.
Use the CURSOR key to move to
the other submenus within the
PARA function
PARA includes five
functions:
•Data reset [RSET]
•Dual Rate Switch
•ACRO/HELI model type
•Modulation
REST — Data Reset (PARA sub-function)
The Reset function is used to clear out an existing set of model data. This may be used to
get a “fresh start” so that you may be begin with a clear memory before you input new model
settings into a memory that had been used for another model. It resets all data to initial values.
A safety feature allows you to verify that you wish to reset before all data are lost.
Resetting the memory
1. Press on the MODE buttons until the PARA window appears, then press the
CURSOR button until REST appears.
2. To reset the memory, press both
DATA INPUT keys simultaneously. The
word
SET? appears blinking on and off in the display.
3. If you are sure you wish to reset, press both
DATA INPUT keys
simultaneously again. This resets the memory. If you do not wish to reset the data, press the
CURSOR key or a MODE key or return to the regular window.
CAUTION: WHEN YOU COMMAND RESET, YOU’LL ERASE THE MEMORY
YOU’RE IN AND LOSE ANY PROGRAMMING YOU HAVE ENTERED. DON’T DO
THIS UNLESS YOU ARE POSITIVE YOU WANT TO FLUSH OUT THAT MEMORY
AND START FROM SCRATCH.
