10.1.5 Starting the chainsaw in the tree
When starting the chainsaw in the tree you should
a) apply the chain brake before starting;
b) hold the chainsaw to the left or right of the body when starting:
1) holding the chainsaw on the left side with the left hand on the front
handle and pushing the chainsaw away from the body while holding the
starting wire in the right hand, or
2) holding the chainsaw on the right side with the right hand on one of
the two handles and pushing the chainsaw away from the body while holding
the starting wire in the left hand.
The chain brake should always be activated before the running chainsaw is
lowered on its suspension cable.
Before difficult sawing work, always make sure that the chainsaw has
sufficient fuel.
