13. Troubleshooting
INTERFERENCE
CAUSE
DISPOSAL
1) Motor does not
start
- Check whether the fuel
contains water or is of
inferior quality
- Check whether the engine
has "flooded
- Check spark plug
- Use new fuel
- Remove spark plug
and dry it. Then pull
starter without choke
- Use new spark plug
2) Low power/
poor acceleration/
uneven idling
- Check whether the fuel
contains water or is of
inferior quality
- Check whether the air
filter or fuel filter is clogged
- Check carburettor
settings
- Use new fuel
- Clean
- Adjust the idle speed
3) No oil supply
- Check whether oil of
inferior quality
- Check oil lines and
openings for blockages
- Replace
- Cleaning
