Wireless
The HR5 Reader is both Bluetooth and WiFi enabled and is able to be
searched for and connected to, by other devices (Discoverable), or
perform a search to ini ate the connec on itself. Only one Bluetooth
or one Wifi device can be connected to the reader, at any me.
Note: WiFi func onality is only available on HR5 v2 hardware.

Bluetooth Setup
1. From the Main Menu screen, use the arrow keys to select the
Wireless icon and press OK.
2. The Wireless screen will display, showing the last known
connec on as either Bluetooth (default for fi rst me
connec ons) or WiFi.
To change the type of communica on, select the fi eld where
Bluetooth or WiFi is displayed and press
OK. Use the arrow keys
to change the communica on type and press OK.
Note: Selec ng None turns off Bluetooth and WiFi, and saves
ba ery power if a communica on connec on is not required.
3. The connec on status and device table will be displayed and the
connec on status will be in ‘Discoverable’ mode.
Note: The table will be empty if no devices have previously been
found. Any previously connected devices will be displayed in
parentheses. e.g. ‘(Gallagher-TSi)’
