Non-Alarm Troubleshooting
Start/Spin Operation Not Working (START SPIN Light Not Illuminated)
The COBE 2991 does not go into the Start/Spin operation, and the START SPIN light does not illuminate.
Probable Cause Action
Not in Ready status (no READY light). Verify that the sliding covers are closed, the centrifuge cover interlock
latch is turned fully counterclockwise, and the hydraulic pump is in
the home (starting) position.
Circuit breaker CB4 has been tripped. Reset circuit breaker CB4. See “CIRCUIT BREAKERS” on page 3-10. If
the circuit breaker continues to trip, contact a qualified service
representative.
Internal malfunction. Contact a qualified service representative.
Caution: Before attempting to reset a circuit breaker, always unplug the
power cord.
Warning: Only trained technical personnel should open the front and
right panel doors. Only qualified service personnel should open the left and
rear panel doors. A special tool may be required to open the panel doors.
