The Fusion MS-RA70NSX is a marine stereo designed for installation on boats or other vehicles, offering a range of audio playback and connectivity options. This device can be mounted either on a flat surface or in a single-DIN opening, making it suitable as a replacement for an existing stereo. Proper installation is crucial for its functionality and longevity, especially in marine environments where exposure to water is a concern.
The Fusion MS-RA70NSX serves as a central audio hub, capable of playing music from various sources and distributing it to multiple speaker zones. It features an on-board Class AB amplifier, delivering 50 W maximum output per channel across four channels, with a total output music power of 200 W maximum. This allows for robust audio performance in a marine setting.
The stereo includes an AM/FM tuner, enabling users to listen to radio broadcasts. For expanded entertainment options, it supports connection to a SiriusXM tuner module (not included), providing access to a wide array of satellite radio channels where available.

The "Amplifier on" wire can be connected to an optional external amplifier to turn it on when the stereo is powered on. The "Mute" wire can be connected to ground to activate muting or switch to AUX input, a feature configurable in the settings menu. The "Dim" wire connects to the boat's illumination wire to dim the stereo screen when the lights are on.
A key feature is the ability to group speakers into speaker zones, allowing for individual control of audio levels in different areas. For example, users can make the audio quieter in the cabin and louder on deck. The balance, volume limit, subwoofer level, and name for each zone can be customized.
The device is designed to be connected to power through the ignition or another manual switch. It is crucial to connect the black ground wire to the negative battery terminal and the red power wire to the ignition or manual switch, which in turn connects to the positive battery terminal.
Maintaining the Fusion MS-RA70NSX involves ensuring proper installation and keeping its software up to date. The device is designed with water resistance ratings of IEC 60529 IPX7 for the front and IEC 60529 IPX3 for the rear, indicating its suitability for marine environments. However, proper mounting with a mounting gasket is essential to maintain this water resistance.
