Electrical Issues
CartManager XD+ Does Not Turn On
Use this troubleshooting flow if nothing happens (no lights, no horn, no movement) when the keyswitch is turned on.
Charge the battery:
1. Turn the key switch off and charge the
unit for 6-8 hours.
2. When charging is complete, unplug the
power cord and turn the key switch on.
3. Turn the throttle grips. Does CartManager
move?
Check the fuses:
1. Turn the key switch off.
2. Open the hood.
3. Remove the two phillips head screws
holding the front access panel in place.
Refer to the diagrams on page 5).
4. Locate the fuse board.
5. Replace any fuses that appear dark or
burnt out.
6. Turn the key switch on.
7. Turn the throttle grips. Does CartManager
move?
Check the main battery cables and
terminals:
1. Turn the key switch off.
2. Open the hood.
3. Are any of the battery cables
disconnected from the battery terminals or
are the terminals dirty or corroded?
1. Clean the battery terminals and
reconnect the loose wires.
2. Turn the key switch on.
3. Turn the throttle grips. Does
CartManager move?
Make a note of any wires
around the battery charger
that appear to be loose,
frayed or disconnected.
