Fruit & Vegetable Drawers
The storage drawers
at
the bottom
of the fresh food compartment are
designed
to
provide high humidity
levels required by most vegetables
and
lower
humidity levels required
for most fruits.
When replacing the drawers,
always
push them
all
the way in.
Storage time will depend upon the
type of food and its condition when
placed in the drawers.
Excess
water that may accumulate in
the bottom of the drawers should be
emptied and the drawers wiped dry.

foods fresh by retaining the natural
moisture content

Fresh meats are stored
best in the coldest part
of the refrigerator.
When the drawer is
placed in the top 6
slots on the left side
and the lever is set at
COLDEST, air from
the freezer is forced
around the drawer to
keep it very
cold.
You can move the drawer to any location for storage
of items other than fresh meats.
The variable temperature control lever lets you
regulate the amount of cold air surrounding the drawer.
When the lever is set at COLDEST, the damper
over the opening in the drawer is fully open to
provide the coldest storage area.
When the lever is set at COLD, the damper is
fully closed. Normal refrigerator temperatures will
be maintained.
Variable settings between these extremes may
be selected.
