If the hot water has not been used %r two weeks or more, prevent the possibili_" of dmnage or inju U by turning on
all hot water t_aucets and allowing them to run for several minutes. Do this before using any electrical appliance
which is connected to the hot water system. This simple procedure xdll allow aW built-up hydrogen gas to escape.
Since the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flmne or appliance during this process.

• Keep the area underneath and around your
appliances fl'ee of combusfit)le materials such as
lint, paper, rags, chemicals, etc.
• Properly ground washer to con%tin _ith all governing
codes anti ordinances. Follow details in Installation
Instructions.
• Close supelxdsion is necessmy if this appliance is used
by or near chiMren. Do not allow children to play on,
_dth, or inside this or any other appliance.
WHENUSINGTHEWASHER
• Never reach into washer while it is moxdng. Wait
until the machine has completely stopped before
opening the lid.
• The laund U process can reduce the flame retardanQ _
of fabrics. To avoid such a result, cm'efully follow the
gammnt manufacturer's wash and care instructions.
• Do not mix chlorine bleach _4th mmnonia or acids
such as xdnegar and/or rest remover. Mixing
different chemicals can produce a toxic gas which
may cause death.
• Do not wash or dU articles flint have been cleaned in,
washed in, soaked in, or spotted xdth combustible or
explosive subst;mces (such as wax, oil, paint, gasoline,
degreasers, &):cleaning sokents, kerosene, etc.) which
may ignite or explode. Do not add these substances to
the wash water. Do not use or place these substances
around your washer or duer during operation.
• To minimize the possibility of electric shock, unplug
this appliance fi'om the power supply or disconnect
the washer at the househoM distribution panel by
remoxdng the rise or s_dtching offthe circuit breaker
before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
NOTE:Turning the Cycle Selector knob to an off
position does NOTdisconnect the appliance fl'om
the power supply.
• Never attempt to operate this appliance ifit is dmnaged,
malfunctioning, partially disassembled, or has missing
or broken parts, including a dmnaged cord or plug.
WHENNOTINUSE
• Turn off'water fimcets to relieve pressure on hoses
and valves and m minimize leakage if a break or
rupture shouM occur. Check the condition of the
fill hoses; they may need replacement after 5 years.
