Installingthe dryer.
Read these instructions completely and carefully.
GroundingRequirements

equipment-grounding conductor can result in
a risk of"electric shock. Check with a licensed
electrician if you are in doubt as m whether
the appliance is properly grounded.
Grounding must be in accordance with local
codes and ordinances, or in the absence of
local codes, in accordance with the National
Electrical Code %NSI/NFPA No. 70.
Fora grounded,cord-connectedelectricdryer.
[]The dryer MUSTbe grounded. In tile event of
a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will
reduce tile risk of electrical shock by creating
a path of least resistance for electrical current.
[] If your dryer is equipped with a power supply
cord having an equipment-grounding conductor
and a grounding plug, the plug MUSTbe
plugged into an appropriate, copper-wired
receptacle that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and

Fora permanently-connectedelectricdryer:
The dryer MUSTbe connected m a grounded
metal, permanent wiring system; or an equipment-
grounding conductor must be run with the circuit
conductors and connected to the equipment-
grounding terminal or lead on tile appliance.
Fora cord-connectedgas dryer:
This dryer is equipped with a three-prong
(grounding) plug for your protection against
shock hazard and should be plugged directly into
a properly grounded three-prong receptacle.
Do not cut or remove tile grounding prong from
this plug.
