Why are my dishes and flatware not clean in my GE Dishwasher?

  Several factors can cause this issue. Check if the Ultra-Fine Filter assembly or Fine Filter is clogged. Ensure the inlet water temperature is correct by running the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher until the water temperature stops rising before starting the dishwasher. Low water pressure could also be a factor; wait until the pressure is normal. Other causes include a clogged air gap or disposer, improper rack loading (make sure large dishware does not block the detergent dispenser or the wash arms), or poor performing detergent. Also, make sure that the high drain loop or air gap is properly installed.

Why are my dishes not drying in my GE GDF530PGM0WW Dishwasher?

  Several factors can affect drying. Ensure the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F. Select Heated Dry or Dry Boost. Use Wash Temp Boost. Select a higher cycle, such as Steam Sani or Heavy. Check the rinse agent dispenser and fill as required. Additional drying time may be needed, so leave the door closed after the Clean light appears to allow the fan to run an additional 90 minutes (on some models). Note: If you open the door, this fan extension will be cancelled. If using Light cycle which uses lower water temperature and thus limited dry performance, switch to a different cycle. Allow cycles to fully complete.

Avoid overloading the dishwasher and load it properly. Fresh detergent is important; use a highly rated detergent such as Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent, and refill the rinse agent dispenser with a product like Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid. Also, make sure you use the proper amount of highly rated detergent.

  The drain might be clogged. If you have an air gap, clean it. If the dishwasher drains into a disposer, run disposer clear. Check to see if your kitchen sink is draining well. If not, you may need a plumber.

  The door was opened or the cycle was interrupted. Press the Start pad once and close the door within 4 seconds to start the dishwasher. Press the Start pad a second time when the dishwasher is running only if you wish to cancel the cycle.

  Make sure the door is firmly closed. Ensure the water valve (usually located under the sink) is turned on. The flood float may be stuck. Remove the Ultra-Fine Filter assembly and lightly tap the piece under the ultra fine filter assembly that looks like a dome. Replace the filter.
