Why doesn't the Sanitized light illuminate at the end of the cycle on my GE GDT665SSNSS?
    • J
      Jessica LongSep 23, 2025
The Sanitized light may not illuminate if: * The door was opened and the cycle was interrupted during the final rinse. Do not interrupt the cycle by opening the door during the wash cycle. * The incoming water temperature was too low. Raise the water heater temperature to between 120°F and 150°F.

If your GE Dishwasher is beeping at the end of the cycle (on some models), this is normal. The dishwasher will beep twice at the end of the cycle. To turn off the double beep indicator (or re-activate it if it was previously turned off), press the Heated Dry button 5 times within 3 seconds. A triple beep will sound to indicate the end-of-cycle beep option has been turned on or off.

Why are my dishes and flatware not clean in my GE GDT665SSNSS?
    • C
      ccordovaNov 26, 2025
There are several reasons why your dishes and flatware might not be getting clean. Check these potential causes: * The Ultra-Fine Filter or Fine Filter might be clogged. * The inlet water temperature might be too low. Ensure it's correct, and run the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher until the temperature stops rising before starting the dishwasher. Consider selecting Wash Temp Boost if available. * Water pressure might be temporarily low. Wait until the pressure is normal before using your dishwasher. Normal water pressure should be 20-120 psi. * The air gap or disposer might be clogged. Clean them. * The high drain loop or air gap might not be installed correctly. Refer to the Installation Instructions. * Improper rack loading could be blocking the detergent dispenser ...

What causes detergent to be left in dispenser cups of my GE GDT665SSNSS Dishwasher?
    • C
      Crystal BrownSep 15, 2025
If detergent is left in the dispenser cups, it may be because dishes are blocking the detergent cup. Reposition the dishes so the water from the lower spray arm can flush the detergent cup. Also, reposition any dishware that may be keeping the dispenser cup door from opening. See the Loading section.

How to stop suds in my GE GDT665SSNSS tub?
    • B
      bleeSep 12, 2025
Suds in the tub can be caused by: * Using the wrong detergent: Use only automatic dishwasher detergents. Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent is approved for use in all GE Appliances dishwashers. To remove suds, open the dishwasher and let them dissipate. Pump out water by pressing Start and closing the door. Wait 30 seconds. Open the door, press and hold Start for 3 seconds, and close the door. Repeat if necessary. * Spilled rinse agent: Always wipe up rinse agent spills immediately.

Why does my GE GDT665SSNSS Dishwasher have long cycle times?
    • E
      Emily WilliamsSep 14, 2025
Longer cycles are normal because the dishwasher washes by alternating mid and lower spray arms. For best wash and dry performance, let the cycle complete. Also, the soil level affects cycle time. Heavily soiled dish loads will add more time to the cycle, which is normal. For best results, allow the cycle to complete.

How to clean stained tub interior in GE GDT665SSNSS Dishwasher?
    • F
      foleydustinSep 4, 2025
If your GE Dishwasher has a stained tub interior, and you see a white film on the inside surface, it's likely due to hard water minerals. GE Appliances recommends using Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid to help prevent these deposits. You can also run the dishwasher with citric acid to remove mineral deposits. Citric acid (Part number: WD35X151) can be ordered through GE Appliances Parts. Alternatively, purchase Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner and follow the directions on the label.

Why is there detergent left in the dispenser cups of my GE GDT665SSNSS?
    • A
      Amanda LangSep 2, 2025
If detergent is left in the dispenser cups of your GE Dishwasher, it's likely that dishes or utensils are blocking the detergent cup. Reposition the dishes to allow water from the lower spray arm to flush the detergent cup. Also, reposition tall utensils or heavy silverware that may be preventing the dispenser cup door from opening, and avoid placing large bowls or pots directly under the detergent dispenser.
