  If your GE Dishwasher isn't drying dishes effectively, several factors could be contributing. First, ensure the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F and select Heated Dry or Dry Boost. You can also use Wash Temp Boost or select a higher cycle, such as Steam Sani or Heavy. Check the rinse agent dispenser and fill it as needed. On some models, leaving the door closed after the Clean light appears allows the fan to run for an additional 90 minutes to improve drying. Note that opening the door cancels this fan extension. If you're using a Light cycle, which uses lower water temperature, switch to a different cycle. Allow cycles to fully complete.

  If the control panel of your GE Dishwasher responds to inputs but the dishwasher never fills with water, make sure the door is firmly closed. Also, ensure the water valve (usually located under the sink) is turned on. The flood float may be stuck; remove the Ultra-Fine filter and lightly tap the piece under the ultra fine filter that looks like a dome, then replace the filter.

Check and refill the rinse agent dispenser with a product like Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid if it's empty. Lastly, ensure you are using the proper amount of a highly rated detergent.

Using a rinse agent like Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid and a highly rated detergent such as Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent can help prevent future buildup.

An overall yellow or brown film can be caused by iron deposits in water, which requires a special filter in the water supply line. White film can be caused by hard water minerals; use Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid and run the dishwasher with citric acid or Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner.
