Fresh Food Defrost Heater
Bend tab inward
¾ The fresh food defrost heater is located at
the bottom of the evaporator between the
rows of coils, attached to the end plates.
¾ It is a 165 watt glass tube radiant heater.
¾ The heater can be dismounted by removing
the center support. Bend the tabs on the
end plates inward then pull it down and
forward.
¾ There is a drip shield mounted just above
the heater.
¾ There is a 140˚F safety thermostat in the
neutral line of the heater circuit.

inverted for illustration.
