Cook meat and poultry thoroughly--meat to at leastan INTERNALtemperature of 16001:and poultry to
at least an INTERNAL temperature of 180°ECooking to these temperatures usually protects against
foodbome illness.
OVEN
Stand away from the range when opening the door of a hot oven. The hot air and steam that escape
can cause bums to hands, face and eyes.
Do not use tim oven for a storage area.

Place the ox.en sheh.es in the desired
position while the ox.en is cool.
Pulling out the shelf to the stop-lock is a
convenience in lifting heaxy' foods. It is also
a p_.ecaufion agvdnst bu_-ns flom touching
hot surfaces of rite door or ox.en walls. The
lowest position is not designed to slide.
Do not heat unopened food containers.
Pressure could build up and the container
could burst, causing an i[)jnl-y.
Never use aluminum foil m line file oven
bottom. Improper use of foil could start
a fire and _.esult in high carbon monoxide.
Do not use alun)inum foil an_vhere in the
oven except as desclibed in this manual.
Misuse could result in a rit.e hazard or
damag.e m the rang.e.
When using cooking or roasting bags in the
ox.en, follow the manufi_cturer's direcnons.
Do not use your ox.en to d U newspapers.
If ox.erheated, they can catch fire.
Use only glass cool<ware that is
recommended for use in gv_sox.ens.
Always remox.e the broiler pan from rang.e
as soon as you finish broiling. G_.ease left in
the pan can catch fire if ox.en is used without
removing the grease from the broiler pan.
When broiling, if meat is mo close m the
flame, the fi_t m W ignim. Tdm excess fi_t to
plex,ent excessive fla_.emps.
Make sure the broiler pan is in place
co_.ecfly to reduce the possibility of
g_.ease fires.
If you shou]d hax.e a grease fire in the broiler
pan, press the gLEAR/OFFpad, and kee I)
rite oven door closed to contain rit.e until
it burns out.
For safety and proper cooking performance,
always bake and broil with the oxen door
closed.
SELF-CLEANINGOVEN
Be sure to wipe off excess spillag.e be%re
self<leaning operation.
Before self-cleaning the ox.en, remox.e
the sheh.es, broiler pan, g_id and other
cookware.
If the self-cleaning mode malflmctions,
turn the oxen off and disconnect the power
supply. Haxe it serviced by a qualified
technician.
Do not use oxen cleaners. No commercial

gasket is essential for a good seal. Care
