The external neutral Rogowski mounting kit comes complete with three glass fi-
bre brackets, two fixing screws, two plastic ties, one 2m length of twisted pair ex-
tension lead and one neutral Rogowski coil.
The mounting bracket has been designed to fit a number of standard neutral bar
arrangements.
Frame 1 M-PACT ACB’s are provided with frame 1 external neutral Rogowski coils.
Likewise fame 2 M-PACT ACB’s are provided with frame 2 external Rogowski coils.
In situations were the frame 1 Rogowski coil will not fit the required neutral bar
arrangement a frame 2 coil can be provided, but an additional spill current of up to
4% at In will be introduced. The error also applies to neutral phase curr ent mea-
surement. This may result in instability on through fault and earth fault, hence loss
of co-ordination or nuisance tripping.
The neutral Rogowski coil should be fitted in the correct location with respect to
the neutral earth connection (restricted or unrestricted neutral). For further con-
figuration details consult application note APP001 available from GE Power Con-
trols. The coil should be positioned with the arrow facing the direction as defined
below. The end connector s marked +ve and -ve should be terminated at the A
block.

Der Montagesatz für die externe Rogowskispule besteht komplett aus drei
Glasfiberklammern, zwei Schrauben und Bindern, einer 2m langen zweipoligen
verdrillten Anschlussleitung und der Rogowskispule. Die Montageklemmen sind
so konstruiert, dass sie für eine Vielzahl von Standardformen der
Neutralleiterschiene
verwendbar sind.
Die Rogowskispulen sind an die Baugröße des M-PACT angepasst. In bestimmten
Situationen, wo die Rogowskispule für die Baugröße 1 nicht montierbar ist, kann
auf die Spule für die Baugröße 2 zurückgegriffen werden. Jedoch ist ein
zusätzlicher Fehlerstrom von bis zu 4% bei In zu berücksichtigen. Dieser Fehler
tritt ebenfalls bei der Messung der Neutralleiterströme auf. Dies kann in
Instabilitäten bei Durchlass- und Erdschlussfehlern resultieren, bis hin zum Verlust
der Koordination und Fehlauslösungen.
Die neutrale Rogowskispule ist an der korrekten Einbaustelle in Hinblick auf den
Erdleiter (REF oder UEF neutral) zu montieren. Weitere Konfigurationsdetails sind
im Applikationshinweis APP001 zu finden, erhältlich bei GE Power Controls. Die
Spule ist so zu positionieren, dass der Pfeil in die unten angegebene Richtung
zeigt. Die Kabelenden mit den K ennzeichen +ve und -ve sind am Block A
anzuschließen.

The Rogowski Coil is secured onto mounting bracket with cable ties (position coil
centrally on clamp).
Using a longer extension lead than that provided may result in EMI effecting the
performance of the M-PRO.
