General Electrics surge arresters are designed to protect against overvoltages such as lightning or switching. Station Class arresters
are used in large electric utility and industrial substations to protect transformers and other substation equipment form lightning and
switching surge generated overvoltages. Intermediate Class arresters are used where the purchaser feels that the higher cost of
Station Class arresters is not justified. TRANQUELL

polymer arresters provide both excellent protective characteristics and tempo-
rary overvoltage capability.
