Why is my GE PGD beeping?
    • E
      Emily BenderAug 10, 2025
Your GE Refrigerator might be beeping due to a door being ajar or open. To stop the alarm, close the door. You can also disable the door alarm by holding the Fridge and Ice Maker buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Alternatively, the beeping could indicate a water leak. Check the AutoFill pitcher for leaks; removing and reinstalling the pitcher will reset the alarm.

      Jeremiah MasonAug 16, 2025
If your GE Refrigerator isn't producing water or ice, several factors could be the cause. It could be that the water filter is clogged, so replace the filter cartridge or remove the filter and install a bypass plug. The filter cartridge might not be properly installed, so remove and reinstall the filter cartridge, making sure it locks in place. Also, the icemaker may be turned off. Make sure the icemaker is turned on. Finally, the supply line or shutoff valve could be clogged, in which case you should call a plumber.

      Lisa TurnerDec 1, 2025
