    • C
      cartersamanthaAug 14, 2025
If pan detection/sizing isn't working correctly on your GE Cooktop: * Use a flat, induction-capable pan that meets the minimum size for the element being used. See the Using The Correct Size Cookware section. * Ensure the pan is centered on the corresponding surface element. * Verify that the cooktop control is set properly.

Experiencing performance or minor technical issues, such as seeing 20°F or 100°F as the set temperature on your GE Cooktop, may be due to old unit or pan software. Connect your unit to the SmartHQ app and update the unit software. Also, connect your unit and pan to the Hestan Smart Cooking app and update the pan software.

Why is the power arc ON indicator blinking on my GE Profile PHP7030?
    • R
      Raymond ManningAug 25, 2025
A blinking power arc ON indicator on your GE Cooktop can be due to: * Using the wrong pan type; check cookware with a magnet to ensure it is induction compatible. * Using a pan that is too small; if the '21' indicator is linking, the pan size is below the minimum size required for the element. Refer to the Using the Correct Size Cookware section. * The pan not being positioned correctly; center the pan in the cooking ring. * Touching the +, -, or control lock pads before turning on an element; refer to the Operating the Cooking Elements section.

What causes my GE Profile PHP7030 Cooktop pan won't pair or activate when tapping handle?
    • W
      William SmithSep 3, 2025
If your GE Cooktop pan won't pair or activate when tapping the handle: * Ensure you are tapping with enough force; use firm taps on the black plastic endcap. * Check the battery; a low or dead battery in the pan will prevent pairing. Replace the AAA battery, installing it with the positive end out of the handle. * Verify you are using compatible pan hardware; pans with an oval module reading "Hestan Cue®" will not work with GEA appliances.

What to do if unable to reach set temperature in Precision Cooking Mode on GE Profile PHP7030 Cooktop?
    • J
      John SmithSep 9, 2025
If you are unable to reach the set temperature in Precision Cooking Mode on your GE Cooktop, it may be because boiling water or cooking liquid-based foods at high temperatures will result in temperature stalls close to the set temperature. Use temperature settings for pan frying, sautéing, and searing when using Hestan Cue cookware or the built-in conventional Precision Cooktop Sensor. The Precision Cooking Probe accessory can be used to control liquid temperatures between 100-200° F for slow cooking, simmering, and advanced cooking techniques like Sous Vide.
