Why does my GE UVC9360 Ventilation Hood fan automatically turn on?
    • A
      adrian33Aug 15, 2025
If the fan on your GE Ventilation Hood automatically turns on and you can't turn it off, this is normal. The sensor feature activates the fan if the cooking temperature gets too high, and it will turn off once the temperature cools down.

How to fix a GE UVC9360 fan/light that won't turn on?
    • M
      melissa86Aug 19, 2025
If the fan or light on your GE Ventilation Hood does not operate when the button is turned on, a house fuse may be blown, or a circuit breaker may be tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.

    • D
      daniellechurchAug 22, 2025
If your GE Ventilation Hood fan keeps going off and on, the motor is probably overheating and turning itself off, which can be harmful. Check to be sure the filters are clean. If the off and on cycling continues, call for service.

    Terry BullockAug 26, 2025
Why is my GE UVC9360 making loud noises?
    • R
      Ryan OlsonAug 26, 2025
Loud or abnormal airflow noise in your GE Ventilation Hood may be due to the wrong duct size used during installation. This hood requires 8” ducting to perform optimally. Using smaller duct pipe will cause reduced venting. Minimize the duct run length and number of transitions and elbows. Note that GE Appliances service technicians cannot correct this issue if the hood was improperly installed.

If the lights in your GE Ventilation Hood are not functioning, it could be due to the use of incorrect bulbs. Ensure you are using GU10 compatible dimmable bulbs. Visit GEAppliances.com for replacement bulbs. In Canada, GEAppliances.ca.

Why is my GE Ventilation Hood fan not circulating air properly?
    • A
      Andrew BryanNov 27, 2025
If the fan in your GE Ventilation Hood fails to circulate air properly, moves air slower than normal, and/or makes loud or abnormal airflow noise, there might be several reasons: - There may be obstructions in the ductwork. Ensure nothing is blocking the vent and that your wall or roof cap has a blade or door. - The damper blade on the wall or roof cap may not be open. Make sure the damper swings freely and adjust it to its original position if it has flipped over. - The metal grease filter and charcoal filter (if present) may be dirty. Clean the metal grease filter and replace the charcoal filter. - There may be insufficient makeup (replacement) air. Check with local building codes regarding makeup air requirements and visit GEAppliances.com for available makeup air solutions. In Canada,...
