Welding with the Geberit ESG3 electrofusion tool
The Geberit ESG 3 electrofusion tool is equipped with an
automatic mechanism which prevents a double weld when a
coupling connection cable is connected.
The required welding time is adjusted automatically in
accordance with the ambient temperature.
Prerequisite
– Pipes, fittings and welding joints are dry and free of dirt.
– Pipes and fittings are prepared in accordance with the
installation manual for Geberit electrofusion couplings or
Geberit electrofusion couplings with integrated thermal fuse.
– Pipe surfaces are prepared in accordance with the installation
manual for Geberit electrofusion tape for anchor point.
DANGER
Danger of death from electric shock
▶ Do not weld wet or water-filled pipes.
▶ An isolation transformer must be included in the
circuit when carrying out electrofusion work in damp
areas.
WARNING
Risk of injury from burns
▶ Do not touch the electrofusion coupling, electro-
fusion tape, electrofusion coupling with integrated
thermal fuse, plug contacts or cable during the
welding procedure or during the cooling-down
phase.
