COMPONENTS OF THE WATER SOFTENER
The softener is the absolute solution to scale problems in water. Very easy to install and to use, it is made
up of a container for the resins, a container for the salt, necessary for periodically regenerating the resins,
and a hydropneumatic valve which, controlled by a timer, carries out the regeneration cycles necessary to
keep the unit efficient.
Note: In Decal and Duplex models the brine tank is separated from the valve/ timer group.
IMPORTANT: the softener may be installed on municipal water only. For different applications
(on well water, etc.) please ask GEL Export Department by e-mail (export@gel.it) for the written
authorisation indicating the serial number of the softener.

INSPECTION
Upon receipt of the water softener:
• check that the packaging and the softener itself have not been damaged during transport
• check that the carton contains the following components:
Decal Models:
• group vessel-valve-timer;
• brine tank, fitted with trap and
brine valve;
• reinforced hose;
• brine suction hose;
• hardness kit;
• instruction manual.
Decalux Models:
• group cabinet-vessel- val-
ve-timer;
• brine suction hose;
• hardness kit;
• instruction manual.
Duplex Models:
• no. 2 groups vessel-valve-ti-
mer;
• no. 1 brine tank, fitted with
trap and brine valves;
• no. 2 reinforced hoses;
• no. 2 brine suction hoses;
• hardness kit;
• instruction manual.
