Verify that the “a” central vertical line is well focused and that the adjacent balls

are round:

Verify Alignment of X-ray Field

After verifying the proper alignment of the system, the test image can also be

used to verify that the X-ray beam is properly adjusted.

The image should measure 5.23” +/- .12” (133 mm +/- 3 mm) vertically. Refer

to prior steps for any required adjustment of the X-ray collimator.
