Move the throttle lever away from the SLOW (right)
position, about 1/3 of the way to the FAST (left) posi-
tion (Figure 12).
To start a cold engine, move the choke lever to the
CLOSED position. To restart a warm engine, leave
the choke lever in the OPEN position (Figure 13).
Set the engine switch to the ON position (Figure 14).
Grasp the starter grip and pull slowly until you feel
some resistance. Then pull cord out with rapid full
arm stroke. Let rope return slowly. Do not let rope
snap back against starter.
If the choke lever has been moved to the CLOSED
position to start the engine, gradually move it to the
OPEN position as the engine warms up.
Set the throttle control to the FAST (left) position.
Allow engine to warm up for 2 minutes before using
unit.
Place safety latch on gun in OFF position.
