Remove the nozzle attachment form the gun.
Start the engine. (See How To Start Your Engine
Page 10.)
Squeeze the trigger on the gun and hold.
When the water supply is steady and constant, engage
the safety latch and refasten the nozzle attachment.
Cleaning Chemical Injection Tube
If you have used the chemical injection tube you must
flush it with clean water before stopping the engine.
Place the injector filter into a pail of clean water while
running pressure washer with nozzle in low pressure
mode. (Adjusting knob on the gun assembly is open
fully.) Flush for five minutes.
Shut off the engine. (See How to Stop Your Pressure
Washer on page 12).
Important: Simply shutting OFF the engine will not
release pressure in the system. When the engine has
shut down, squeeze the trigger on the gun to relieve
pressure in the hose.
Nozzle Maintenance
If the nozzle becomes restricted or clogged with foreign
materials, such as dirt, excessive pump pressure may
develop. If the nozzle becomes partially clogged, it may
cause a pulsating sensation during use. This generally
is not a pump related problem, but rather a clogged or
partially restricted nozzle.
If the nozzle becomes clogged or partially restricted,
immediately clean the nozzle with the kit included with
your pressure washer by following these instructions:
Shut off the engine and turn off the water supply.
Press trigger to relieve pressure.
Remove the lance form the gun.
Use the wire included in the kit or a small paper clip to
free the foreign materials clogging or restricting the
nozzle (Figure 20).
Remove additional debris by back flushing water
supply through the nozzle holder (Figure 21). Back
flush between 30 and 60 seconds.
Reconnect the lance to the gun.
Reconnect the water supply, turn on the water
completely and start the engine.
Test the pressure washer by operating with nozzle in
the high and in the low position.
ENGINE MAINTENANCE
See Engine Owners Manual for Information on how
to properly maintain the engine.
It describes how to check the oil level, as well as
change the oil, how to service the air cleaner, replace
the spark plug and clean the spark arrestor screen.
